Equinox Rite to Lucifer
Celebration of Lucifer, Lightbringer and knowledge incarnate. This rite commemorates enlightenment and the life-giving airs that sustain all existence upon this Earth. It is an ode to learning, to wisdom, and to the eternal renewal of ideas. It is a paean to springtime and to new beginnings awakening.
Some may choose to sanctify their union under Lucifer's light at this auspicious time of fruition and fertility.
Walpurgisnacht/May Eve - Initiations and first Rite to Leviathan
This is typically an initiation ceremony wherein new members of certain sects are welcomed into the fold. Leviathan, as a primordial sea serpent, symbolises the seed cycle, fertility, emotional bonds, and rebirth. Due to these symbolic associations, many sects choose to initiate their new arrivals or celebrate marriages and conceptions during this rite as Leviathan embodies creation and bonding in all its forms.
However, the First Rite is not limited solely to initiation ceremonies or weddings. Some groups may perform this rite to reaffirm their connection to the creative forces in the universe and to one another. Through chanting, drumming, and other ritualistic acts, they tap into the essence of Leviathan to harness his symbolic power over fertility, emotions, and the cyclic nature of existence. By doing so, they believe that Leviathan will bless their sect with continued growth, prosperity, and close-knit bonds between members.
Solstice Rite to Flereous
Flereous is the mythical Phoenix that rises from the ashes, symbolising rebirth, renewal, and the warmth of summer. This rite celebrates the fiery sun and the summer season. This is the Rite at which Baphometic Fire Baptisms are traditionally performed to honour Flereous.
While baptisms are rarely performed on young children, many adults in the faith choose to have their patron deity Flereous's sigil either branded, tattooed, or ritually cut into their skin during this Rite. Though some outside cultures may view these acts as self-mutilation, a devoted Demonolator finds deep honour and spiritual meaning in this ritual. The "scar" is borne proudly as a symbolic representation of their faith and devotion.
Lucifuge's Holy Day
Equinox Rite to Leviathan
This sacred ritual celebrates the autumn harvest and the coming of the darker months. It honours the powerful element of water, the lifeblood of the earth, and the emotional bonds between all beings. During this rite, married couples often choose to reaffirm their wedding vows and strengthen the ties that bind them together.
The autumn harvest represents the culmination of the seasonal cycle and the abundance that flows from the union of sun and rain, light and dark. As the veil between the worlds grows thin, divination practices such as scrying and tarot reading are especially potent, allowing us to perceive the connections between all parts of the whole. The Great Sea Serpent Leviathan symbolises these deep bonds beneath the surface, the hidden links that unite us all in the great ocean of existence.
All Hallows Eve/Halloween Rite to Eurynomous & Baalberith
This rite honours Eurynomous and Baalberith and, as in many other esoteric traditions, is a celebration of death, dying, and the realm of the dead. Many practitioners choose this rite as an opportunity to symbolically "destroy" painful feelings or memories by requesting curses upon those who have wronged or hurt them. Cursing rites are an accepted and encouraged practice in Demonolatry, the Left-Hand Path worship of demons.
This rite is a time of deep emotional cleansing and rebirth. By confronting death, one can release attachments to the past and renew oneself. The decay of what once was allows for the growth of what will be. Through darkness we find light, through death we discover life anew.
Second Rite to Lucifer
Solstice Rite to Belial
This ancient pagan ritual, sometimes called the second initiation rite, is dedicated to Belial, a demonic figure who also represents new beginnings, transitions, and fresh starts.
The rite celebrates the winter solstice, the shortest day and longest night of the year, as Belial's realm encompasses the darkness. The rite also honours family, friends, and loved ones who provide comfort during this time of cold and scarcity. At its core, the rite celebrates the rebirth of the sun, whose strengthening light brings hope for abundance and fruitfulness in the new year.
